"I was about to go travelling before attending uni and my parents suggested I take some self-defence lessons to become a bit more 'streetwise' before I went.
I took a couple of months of semi-private lessons alongside a friend and we learned loads! It was the self-protection principles and the personal safety skills which stuck in my mind. Thanks to these we for sure avoided a few sketchy situations while travelling.
